At just 19 years of age, Mikayla Bowen already has an impressive list of accolades to her name. She won the Swan Districts Best & Fairest in 2016, was the club Captain when the Swans Youth Girls won the Premiership in 2017, captained the 2019 WA State 18s side, was named in the All-Australian team of 2019 and signed with the West Coast Eagles in January of that same year.

Round 3 saw all three Swan Districts women’s sides head to Mandurah to take on a confident Peel outfit.

Swans Pilbara Development Camp
Swan Districts Football Club provided a community and talent football camp last week in Dampier for boys across the Pilbara. This included training for 10 to 14 year olds and matches for under 16’s players.

The Swan Districts WAFLW 2021 Round 2 Wrap-Up
Round 2 saw all three of our women’s teams playing away from home. The Swan Districts League side travelled to Fremantle for a Sunday morning game, while the Development and Rogers Cup girls headed to Joondalup on Sunday afternoon.

New Club General Manager People and Community
The Swan Districts Football Club recently appointed Matt Hewitson as General Manager People and Community.
Matt was selected from over 30 strong applicants. He subsequently resigned as the Director of Community and Strategic Projects on the club’s Board prior to commence the position mid January.

This year six players will be inducted into the SDFC Hall Of Fame joining the previous 32 inductees.
They include Joel Cornelius, John Turnbull, Colin Maynard, Syd Sinclair, Dave Sidebottom and Bob Beecroft.
John Cooper will also be elevated to an Immortal status.
