Dr Bruce Robinson is a physician, Professor of Medicine and multi-award-winning cancer researcher. He also founded The Fathering Project which helps fathers and father figures, including sports coaches, do a better job of helping kids across Australia navigate the future. He also regularly volunteers as a doctor after disasters in our region, such as earthquakes and tsunamis.
He was Western Australian of the Year in 2013.
Bruce grew up Bassendean and followed Swans as a kid then played a year in the reserves in the mid 70s. He was also a successful varsity player and coach. He says he initially agreed to the role of Patron at Swans out of obligation to a club he loves but now continues because he is proud of the outstanding things it does in the community.
