Match Day Information

Swan Districts is celebrating the life of John Todd, a club Immortal and WA football legend against South Fremantle. Both teams have played for the John Todd Cup since 1999 and will now play for the John Todd Memorial Cup.

Ticketing

Avoid the queues by pre-purchasing your tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the entry gates.

There’s 4 entry gates at the Heritage Gate on the corner of West Rd and Old Perth Rd, and there’s 3 entry gates at the Swan Districts club rooms on the corner of Old Perth Rd and Brooke St.

Parking and Public Transport

The Midland train line is closed on the weekend of 15/16 June. Rail replacement bus number 901 will depart every 10 mins from Perth Busport to Midland train station stopping at every train station along the Midland line and on Guildford Rd directly outside Steel Blue Oval. Plan your journey using the Transperth JourneyPlanner before you travel.

Free parking is available behind Cyril Jackson Senior Campus, Bassendean. Entrance is off Chapman St. Refer to the map below. A free Transperth Shuttle bus service is available from the front of Cyril Jackson Senior Campus on Reid St to and from Old Perth Road, just a short walk from Steel Blue Oval Bassendean. The service will commence at 11.30am and the return journey will operate from 5pm – 6pm. ACROD parking is not available at Cyril Jackson Senior Campus.

Free parking is also available at Kings Meadow Reserve in Guildford. Refer to the map below.  

For return journeys to Perth, the bus stops are located on Guildford Rd directly outside Steel Blue Oval and at Bassendean train station and Guildford train station. Buses will depart every 10 min.

The Shuttle bus will depart from the same location it dropped patrons off, just outside the Heritage Gate. Buses will depart every 5 – 10 min after the game.

Traffic conditions to be aware of

West Rd, Bassendean south of Palmerston St is closed for Water Authority works.

Colts – 9.05am

Reserves – 11.35am

John Todd Memorial – 2.15pm

League – 2.30pm

It is strongly recommended you plan to arrive at Steel Blue Oval early. Undercover seating is available on a first come first served basis.

Match day activities

There’s lots of free fun and games for the kids in the Swans Play Zone from 1.30pm including bouncy castles, laser tag, climbing tower, face painting and lots more.

There’s also over 40 free Swans footies given away by the Swans players when they run out on to the oval and prizes to be won on ground throughout the day. The kids can grab a free poster and player cards from the Merchandise Shop for the players to sign after the game.

Food and coffee vans and four bars are available.

Post game activities

Following the John Todd Memorial Cup on ground presentation, supporters are invited upstairs to the President’s Lounge for the post game presentations and to join in Tony Notte’s 300 Swan Districts game celebration. Food is available for purchase.

Swans in partnership with the Guildford, Woodbridge and Bassendean Hotels are providing Swans supporters free drink credits this Saturday 15 June.

It’s as simple as downloading The Pass app by Australian Venue Co before this Saturday and you’ll receive 1,000 points valued at $10 to use towards your drink or meal. Then, by using your App to purchase drinks or meals this Saturday only, you’ll receive another 1,000 points!

You can then use the App at any Australian Venue Co pub in the future to accrue points helping to use towards drinks and meals.
