Swan Districts Football Club has created a Board Mentoring Program offering hands-on governance training for Aboriginal and multicultural peoples and people with disability. The program will provide an insight into various committees for a not-for-profit semi-professional sporting club that could be applied to other sport or non-sport Boards or committees.

The Swan Districts Football Club has appointed Karen van Namen as the chaplain for the club’s women’s football program. This follows the appointment earlier in the season of past player Rod Manton as the chaplain of the senior men’s football program.

SWAN Districts put together a stunning run of form to book a spot in the first ever WAFLW Grand Final on Saturday but in the end it was East Fremantle who proved too strong to claim the inaugural premiership.
Swan Districts entered Saturday's Grand Final in some tremendous form having qualified courtesy of a five-game winning streak which culminated in the impressive victory over minor premiers Subiaco in the preliminary Final.
That five-game winning run had included a win over East Fremantle as well for Swan Districts with both teams entering the Grand Final on the back of having beaten Subiaco to do so.

SWAN Districts is in its hottest form of the inaugural WAFLW season having won five straight matches entering Saturday's Grand Final with East Fremantle with the first ever premiership at stake in the competition.
The inaugural Optus WAFLW Premiership Season has proved quite the success with the launch of the new five-team competition in 2019 to continue to build on the momentum created for female football by AFLW.
It was Claremont, East Fremantle, Peel Thunder Subiaco and Swan Districts chosen as the five teams to take part in the first WAFLW season and there was precious little between the top four teams with only Peel missing out on a finals appearance.

SWAN Districts enters Saturday's WAFLW Grand Final on a five-game winning streak and captain Ebony Antonio sees no reason they can't maintain that form and she can't hold up the inaugural premiership cup with coach Kara Donnellan.
Swans are no strangers to making history and back in 2017 they did that by winning the league, reserves and Rogers Cup premierships in the one WA Women's Football League season.
Now after not making finals in the last WAWFL season, Swans are back to being a force again in 2019 and it's partners leading the way as captain and coach in the form of Fremantle Dockers AFLW pair Ebony Antonio and Kara Donnellan.

SWAN Districts is in its best form of the WAFL Women's season right at the best time of year entering Saturday's Grand Final against East Fremantle with coach Kara Donnellan excited for what lies ahead.
On the back of last Saturday's thumping preliminary final win to the tune of 45 points against minor premiers Subiaco, Swans now enter Saturday's Grand Final against East Fremantle in red hot form.
The inaugural Grand Final of the WAFLW competition takes place at Lathlain's Mineral Resources Park from 2.35pm and Donnellan knows Swans have every right to be going into the clash full of confidence.

IT might not have been the season Swan Districts was hoping for in 2019, but Tony Notte and George Hampson have been recognised by being named in the starting 18 of the WAFL Team of the Year.
The season might have had its challenges for Swan Districts overall with just the four wins the end result, but there were plenty of encouraging good signs with the players provided opportunities that they could build on moving forward.
Then there was both Tony Notte and George Hampson who produced tremendous season leading the black-and-whites from the front. Both have been recognised with spots in the WAFL Team of the Year with Notte locked in at centre half-back while Hampson takes his spot on a half-forward flank.

SWAN Districts booked their place in the inaugural WAFLW Grand Final on Saturday with a dominant win in the preliminary final over Subiaco to continue their hot recent form.
Swans will now enter the Grand Final in brilliant form and on a five-match winning streak as they take on East Fremantle on Saturday at Lathlain's Mineral Resources Park. The winner will be the first ever WAFLW premiers.

SWAN Districts is on fire at the right time of the year in the inaugural WAFL Women's season and now one more win in Saturday's preliminary final against Subiaco and they are through to the Grand Final.
Swans are now in their best form of the season having won four straight matches including a thumping win at home over Claremont in last Sunday's first semi-final against Claremont.
That moves Swan Districts into this Saturday's preliminary final against Subiaco and a win for the black-and-whites will see them through to the Grand Final and feeling good about their chances of winning the first ever WAFLW premiership.
