Swans Networking Night 2026

Swan Districts Football Club hosted its eighth annual Swans Business Networking Event on Wednesday evening at Mandoon Estate, bringing together Corporate Members, sponsors, Swansmen and stakeholders from across the WA football and business communities.

The event provided guests with an opportunity to connect in a relaxed and professional setting, while recognising the continued growth of Swan Districts Football Club both on and off the field.

Following welcome addresses from MC Andy Holmes and Club President Peter Hodyl, guests enjoyed networking and hospitality before hearing from several sponsors and guest speakers.

Tim Millroy, Head of Community & Partnerships at WARRRL (Containers for Change), and James Hillgrove, partner at JBC Corporate and player sponsor of WAFL player Anthony Stephens and WAFLW player Kaitlin Allen, shared insights into their involvement with the club. The evening also featured a Q&A with WA Football CEO Brad Wira.

Brad spoke about leadership, governance, financial discipline and the future of football in Western Australia, drawing on his experience across WAFL football, the AFL, private wealth advisory and WA Football.

Grant French from Qwest Crane Hire won the Corporate Member Prize Draw, receiving a Mandoon Estate package valued at $600, including accommodation at Maya Maya, a meal and drinks voucher, and a selection of Mandoon wines. A second prize featuring a Mandoon Estate wine pack and a copy of Not Ordinary Lives, The Tribe (Volume 1) was won by Norm Kirkup.

A special thank you to Brad Wira for his contribution to the evening, along with Mandoon Estate for hosting the event and all sponsors, Corporate Members, Swansmen and guests for their continued support of the club.

Swans now looks ahead to several upcoming events, including Pride Round against Subiaco Football Club, the Big Freeze at Steel Blue Oval and Count Me In Day later this season.
