Round 11 Men’s Match Report v East Fremantle
Swan Districts enjoyed their first visit to the newly redeveloped The Good Grocer Park and recorded their best win of the WAFL Men’s season with the 32-point victory against East Fremantle.
Swan Districts arrived at the new-look East Fremantle venue looking to cause an upset against a Sharks team sitting in second position on the ladder.
Right from the outset and Swans enjoyed the conditions and put together a tremendous four-quarter performance taking advantage of the first and third quarters with the wind behind them, and limiting the damage going into it.
Swan Districts ended up securing the 10.6 (66) to 4.10 (34) victory in what was their best result of the season after the opening two victories in 2025 had come against teams below them on the ladder, Subiaco and West Coast.
Jehb O’Donohue, Leigh Kohlmann and Jackson McLachlan all kicked two goals apiece in the win for the black-and-whites.
Then there was Josh Cipro fresh off reaching 100 games the week before against Perth who racked up 34 possessions with Jye Chalcraft finishing with 30, Jesse Turner 27, Brad Lynch 21, Max Chipper 19 and Bryce Watson 15.
Tom Smith also came into the side to play in the ruck and delivered a standout performance made up of 10 possessions, 51 hit outs and four tackles.

It was all Swans for the rest of the opening quarter starting with a goal to Jehb O’Donohue who was enjoying his chance to play deep in attack.
Jiah Reidy, Jackson McLachlan and 101-gamer Josh Cipro then all kicked goals as well for Swans before quarter-time to give them the 19-point advantage.
East Fremantle did have the advantage of the strong wind at Shark Park in the second quarter but the home team only managed to kick four behinds in the opening 16 minutes and it was Swans who kicked the first goal of the quarter.
That came courtesy of spearhead Leigh Kohlmann and Swans were still leading by nine points going into the half-time break.
Swans had that wind to their advantage again in the third quarter and made the most of it with goals to O’Donohue, Otis Harvey and Kohlmann while holding East Fremantle scoreless which saw them on top by 29 points at three quarter-time.
Swan Districts still managed to outscore East Fremantle in the last quarter too with two goals to one and those majors to Ben Hewett and McLachlan saw them secure the impressive 32-point victory.
The colts match up began proceedings at The Good Grocer Park and it was a tough outing for Swan Districts with East Fremantle managing the 13.6 (84) to 2.6 (18) victory.
Swans managed just the one goal in each of the half before suffering the 66-point defeat which sees them now sitting in seventh position on the colts ladder with a 4-5 record.
Swan Districts’ goals were kicked by Ace Wareing and Levi Calcott while Tom Oliver picked up 16 possesisons, Liam Hrabar 15, Soren Feast 14, Ezekiel Hewett 13, Owen Scott 13 and Leon Kickett 12 to go with nine tackles.
That led into the reserves contest and Swan Districts came away with the thrilling 6.13 (49) to 6.8 (44) victory against East Fremantle.
The Sharks made a fast start with the advantage of the wind with four goals to one in the first quarter but Swans kicked the only two goals of the second term to get back within five points.
