Swan Districts had to dig deep but they produced an impressive second half to beat the West Coast Eagles by 20 points on Saturday in Round 7 of the 2022 WAFL season.

The Swan Districts League side have ceased their 9-straight losing streak to South Fremantle in Round 6, stopping the clubs worst run of losses against the Bulldogs since the 1970s.

With a big win this weekend, the Swan Districts Football Club could potentially leap into the top 5 on the 2022 WAFL ladder… the only thing standing in their way – the South Fremantle Bulldogs.

Having not been able to overcome them since 2017, South Freo have won the last nine encounters against the black and whites, which is their longest winning streak against the Swans since the 1970s.

Today is National Sorry Day, which remembers and acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities, which we now know as “The Stolen Generations”.
