WA Labor Commitment to Swans Youth Hub - Bassendean

Monday, February 3, 2025 - 2:20 PM

Swan Districts Football Club thank the local Bassendean MP Dave Kelly and the WA Labor Party for its $30,000 election commitment to fund the Swans Youth Hub and club facility improvements.

Swans recently took over the delivery of the Bassendean Youth Centre from the Town of Bassendean renaming it the Swans Youth Hub. The funding will help upgrade and purchase new IT devices and other specific software and printing equipment used by program participants.

This helps the club create new social enterprise programs empowering local youth to tell their story through art, creativity and digital design, as well as produce apparel featuring the designs and stories.

The Elevate Ink social enterprise project provides a platform for young people to be seen and heard, all while developing their skills in digital design, business operations, and other entrepreneurship opportunities.

The club’s purpose is to empower community and individuals to create better futures. Its vision is to be a high performing and sustainable club delivering positive social impact in communities, families, and for individuals. While football is in the club’s DNA, it exists for a far deeper purpose. The Swans Youth Hub is one of many social impact programs the club delivers helping achieve its vision.
