Tuesday, June 25, 2024 - 2:51 PM

Swan Districts and Steel Blue celebrated a 20 year partnership at the club's home game last Saturday.

Steel Blue's story began in Western Australia in 1995 and they've since grown to become Australia's leading manufacturer of work and safety boots.

The partnership started with three of the company's directors having played for the club, including Peter Carter (10 games), Ross Fitzgerald (112 games and 1 Premiership), and club Legend Don Holmes (158) who won four Premierships with Swans.

"Steel Blue has been a significant partner of our club for the past 20 years," said Swans Vice President Andy Holmes.

"They're not only the name of our home ground and the only regional sports facility in the eastern suburbs, but they provide major support of our social impact programs in our regional and metropolitan communities".

Steel Blue Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bell, is delighted with the extension of the agreement.

"Steel Blue is community focused business and Swan Districts forms part of our grassroots community partners. We are proud of this long-term partnership and to extend our commitment for another three years.

"The club and Steel Blue have evolved over the years, with a joint focus on giving back to the communities we serve."

"Together, we have delievered a lot to the community, have become part of each other's fabric and looking forward to achieving more through this partnership for many years to come."

Steel Blue has a long history of embracing and leading matters on corporate social responsibility. "We do it because we care - and caring is part of our culture,"
