Camco joins Swans in creating better futures
Local WA mechanical engineering services company Camco Engineering has committed their support to Swans’ Social Impact programs that are empowering communities and individuals to create better futures.
With operational facilities in Perth and Karratha, Camco prides itself on engaging with and working alongside the community in which it works, making a partnership with Swans a perfect synergy. Swans’ Social Impact delivery in Perth and the Pilbara play an important role in providing opportunities to succeed, especially to those who face barriers.
Head of Social Impact at Swans, Jason Burton welcomed the new partnership, “a key focus for us is connection and helping people understand the real value in having good people, opportunities and resources around you. With Camco we get that strong connection that could potentially open up opportunities like employment, but we also get good people willing to share their stories and inspire others.”
Chris, Camco’s Pilbara Division Manager said that he ‘aims to provide an opportunity for people in the community to explore possible career options and, by doing so, increase self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence. I aim to be actively involved Swans to assist in inspiring individuals to continue study and/or undertake further training in preparation for the success of their future.’
The partnership will enhance the impact of the Swans Elevate programs through a focus on pathways beyond high school and the development of skills required to navigate work and life.
