How to beat East Perth in 2022?

They defend the ground really well, so we need to be on our game in the way we use the footy. We don’t want to get caught up playing a slow game which allows them to set up behind the ball, so we need to move it quite quickly – Brandon Erceg (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain)

How to beat East Fremantle in 2022?

They have some heavy hitters who like to throw their weight around and are aggressive in hunting the ball. We need to beat them through the middle, equal the contest all around the ground and make sure we show up to play for all four quarters – Chris Jones (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain)

How to beat Perth in 2022?

They were a bit of a younger squad last season and going through a phase where they were looking to recruit and develop as a team. They will be a lot stronger and more competitive this year. Our ball movement will need to be clean and crisp, and if we can maintain that they will struggle defensively when we move the ball quickly – Chris Jones (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain)

How to beat Claremont in 2022?

They bat really really deep through their midfield and that is something we have tried to build over the past couple of seasons. We need to sustain our effort against a team like Claremont. We cannot just play for a half or three quarters and then drop off towards the end – Adam Pickering (Swan Districts League Coach).

How to beat Subiaco in 2022?

We have taken a lot of confidence and belief from playing Subiaco last year. We need to ensure that everyone on the day plays to the plan and doesn’t give in – Adam Pickering (Swan Districts League Coach).

How to beat South Fremantle in 2022?

They defend the ground really well and cause teams to doubt their decisions and how they want to play. We need to play with a lot of spirit and really go at them with our speed of ball movement. They are a really experienced team, and we are starting to get that same maturity through a number of our players now – Adam Pickering (Swan Districts League Coach).

How to beat West Coast in 2022?

They are a tough one to prepare for as you don’t know what you are going to be up against from week to week with them. They play a really slow game and chip the ball to each other, so if you get bogged down with that style of play it can keep them in the game. You really need to play your game against them and lock down their top end players – Brandon Erceg (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain).

How to beat Peel Thunder in 2022?

They can have a lot of AFL listed boys play for them. We need to play direct and quite quickly and make sure we win the hunt for the ball the entire game – Chris Jones (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain).

How to beat West Perth in 2022?

They have some prime movers through the midfield, and we cannot let them get too much of the footy. They have some dangerous forwards and keep their forward line quite open which can allow for them to score quite quickly. We need to make sure that we don’t give them the room to move in there. We also need to set up well behind the footy and not allow their midfielders to get the easy ball, especially in dangerous spots around the ground – Brandon Erceg (Swan Districts WAFL Co-Captain).
