WA Wheelchair Football League
The WA Wheelchair Football League played it’s inaugural games on Sunday, where we faced off against Subiaco and East Perth at HBF Stadium.
The competition was fierce, and the enjoyment was high with lots of laughter and banter between the teams. While we weren't able to get a win on the board, we will be better for the experience in Round 2 this Thursday evening. New Swans player Dave Cook, who has played other wheelchair sports previously, said both the “games were hard fought with the great enthusiasm” and that the team will only improve to build as the season continues.
Swans Disability Access and Inclusion Committee Member Robyn Hansson said that “the day just had a fantastic vibe, the whole event was brilliant.”
We take on Subiaco and East Perth again this evening at 6pm and 720pm at HBF Stadium.
