Swans Secures Pickering
Swan Districts Football Club is delighted to announce that Adam Pickering has re-signed as the club’s Senior Coach for an additional two years.
The club recently completed a comprehensive review of the WAFL Senior Coach position and felt it important to provide stability in its senior coaching position to help deliver the club’s long term plan.
The Swans Football Strategic Plan 2020 – 2024 maps out a strategy to achieve an enduring and sustainable high performing football department including men’s and women’s football.
“Our plan not only determines where our resources are spent, it helps us measure performance against key indicators. This provided rigor and objectivity around reviewing Adam’s position”, said Club President Peter Hodyl.
“It’s important in delivering any long term plan that you remain focussed, committed and disciplined. Adam was a major contributor in developing our plan and we strongly believe he’ll continue to play a significant role helping execute it”.
“Adam’s a true Swan. He’s committed to who the club is and what we’re trying to achieve on and off the field”.
Adam Pickering is delighted to be endorsed by the club. “It’s humbling to have such unequivocal support from this amazing club. I’m absolutely committed to delivering our strategic plan. We’re collectively building a strong foundation for success at all levels at the club”.
The club remains steadfast with its strategy to help future proof its long and rich heritage. It’s building a robust business model based on building community and developing people that will secure the club’s future.
Adam Pickering began coaching at the club in late 2017 and is currently in the last year and his second two year term. This contract renewal will extend his period at the club to six years.
