Round 1, 2020 WAFL League Team Selection
The 2019 off-season recruiting drive appears to have already paid off for the Swan Districts league side, with up to four of their newcomers set to lace up the boots for their new club in Round 1 of the 2020 Optus WAFL Premiership season.
Nelson Waite made his way across from East Perth, with Frank Anderson, Sam Fisher and Deven Costigan coming from the Northern Blues in Victoria.
Waite looks to have already cemented himself in defence as a hard-tackling back pocket. Fisher and Anderson add a wealth of experience and class to the midfield, while Costigan is a strong running tactician who is looking to push up forward.
With a host of other changes being made from last years Round 20 side, the Swans will be looking to start the year off strong, with a victory over West Perth at Steel Blue Oval, this Saturday from 2:30pm.
