Steel Blue to turn black and white again this season!

Premier Mark McGowan has detailed the next step of the WA roadmap out of COVID-19 restrictions, with the state moving into phase 4 from Saturday, June 27.
In great news for the Swan Districts Football Club, this including supporters now being able to attend WAFL and WAFLW games once again.
With a shortened season that will see the male teams play each club just once, and the women’s teams twice, having supporters cheering at each game, particularly at Steel Blue Oval, is more important than ever.
As the lifting of restrictions continue to go to plan with phases rolled out when expected, there will be no limitations on how many fans can attend games, when Round 1 of the 2020 WAFL and WAFLW Premiership Seasons kick off.
With large gatherings of people still a concern for some people, Swan Districts CEO, Jeff Dennis, says the club will be taking a strong stance in making sure people are safe when they attend Steel Blue Oval this season.
‘It’s well known that Swans have the best fans in the land’, he said. ‘All of our players and coaches are jumping out of their skins to start.’
'We are expecting large crowds and the number 1 priority for us is to create a safe environment for all.
‘The second to that is to create some great football for them to see from our WAFL and WALFW teams.’
With fixtures to be released soon, make sure you mark your calendars to attend as many Swans games as you can this season.
