WAFL/WAFLW 2020 Season Update

The WA Football Commission has just confirmed that the commencement of the WAFL competition will be postponed until 31^st May. This will apply to all premier State Leagues and national and state talent programs across the country.

The decision was collectively agreed upon between the AFL and AFL State CEOs based on the part-time nature of these competitions and the financial implications for the State League clubs and State Leagues.

Furthermore, effective immediately players are not permitted to be at WAFL clubs for any training, gym, meetings or other club commitments. The WAFC will advise when players can return to clubs in the lead up to the start of the season as well as logistical items such as fixturing.
