Swans Take On Movember

Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention – Swan Districts are taking them all on as we raise funds and awareness for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives as part of Movember. We need your help and want you to be a part of our team.

Our esteemed President, Peter Hodyl, who’s top lip has not seen the light of day since we only had 3 premierships (40 years), will be shaving it off at our Members Night on Thursday the 31st of October. Our CEO Jeff Dennis, Board members Matt Hewitson and Des Hardiman as well as Female Football Manager, Jo Taylor have also joined the Swans Movember team. We’re already at $600, but need to reach a much higher target.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

Movember is not just about growing a Mo, you can also “Move in Movember”. You can walk or run 60km over the month, which is 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every day across the world.
