Rhys Palmer Involved In Traffic Accident
Swan Districts Football Club player Rhys Palmer was involved in a motor vehicle accident last night. Both Rhys and the female passenger on his motorbike were admitted to hospital and undertook emergency surgery.
It’s understood that Rhys is now in a stable condition and the passenger has no significant injuries.
The club is of the understanding that Rhys was driving the motorbike and was not to blame for the accident. The police were at the scene and will provide a full report.
It must be noted that the accident was not related to any of the events of the previous 48 hours.
“The health and wellbeing of Rhys and his passenger is of utmost importance to the club. There is no consideration of anything else of at this point in time”, said club Chief Executive Jeff Dennis.
“The thoughts of everyone at the club are with both of them and their families at this very difficult time”.
The club requests that their privacy is respected.
