Household Names To Continue At Steel Blue Oval
It wasn’t long ago that the much loved names of Brendan Retzlaff and Steve Bazzo brought joy and excitement to all Swan Districts supporters. Now the new generation have emerged, as their sons begin their football journey at the Black Ducks.
As players, both Brendan and Steve possessed incredible athleticism and skill, and the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree with their sons.
Rhett Bazzo is a tall athletic key position player who is already involved at State level in both cricket and football. He reads the game exceptionally well and we expect him to have a great career.
Jack Retzlaff is a smooth moving winger or half back type with excellent awareness and a classy left foot, and we can see him playing a lot of footy through the midfield.
Both boys are developing into excellent shape for the game, and through our Futures and Colts competitions this year, we know that they will play some great footy for the club.
SDFC has always been a family club, and it’s brilliant that these two iconic names are back within our football family!
Keep a look out for these lads over the next few years as they progress through to league footy.
