Another Swans Recruit
Swan Districts Football Club has signed prodigious talent Lachlan Riley from Peel Football Club.
Riley is a former South Bunbury footballer who played in Peel’s Colts team in 2017 (20 games) and 2018 (17 games) kicking seven goals. He was influential for Peel against Swans in last Year’s Qualifying Final with 30 disposals, 5 marks and 3 tackles and was picked alongside Mitch Bain and Graydon Wilson in the 2018 WAFL Colts Team of the Year.
Riley won Peel’s Colts Fairest and Best in 2018 while also making his WAFL League debut with 13 disposals, 5 marks and 2 tackles against East Perth in Round 21.
“Lachlan has a great character and an intense desire to push himself to play at the highest level. Our club can certainly help him achieve his aspirations. He’ll also be surrounded by some very experienced senior WAFL and AFL players who will be very keen to help him”, said Pickering.
