Ellis To Step Down as Colts Coach
Swan Districts Football Club today announced that Xavier Ellis has resigned as Coach of the Club’s Colts Team. Xavier’s work commitments have increased as his role in the media has expanded significantly.
“I’d like to thank Swan Districts Football Club for the opportunity to coach at such a great club. Like many football clubs there are great people and Swans are no different. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and learning off some of WA’s finest footballing people. Next year I will be venturing down a media path, but will enjoy supporting the club in 2018. Many thanks”, said Xavier Ellis.
Club Football Manager Phil Smart was full of praise for Ellis.
“Swan Districts wishes to thank Xavier for his commitment to our Academy programs over the last twelve months. Xavier was head coach of our Academy as well as line coach in our senior teams. He brought an extensive amount of experience as a highly credentialed player to our Football Department. We wish Xavier all the best in his endeavours outside of football and are hopeful that he will continue in a less time consuming role with Swans moving forward”.
