A few trips back and forth from Melbourne, Jesse’s back home in Perth and is here to stay. Jesse was selected as Carlton’s number one pick in the 2015 AFL Rookie Draft. After playing 3 seasons for Carlton in the VFL he returned to Swans in 2019 to play a full season.

Not giving up on his AFL career, Jesse moved back to Melbourne to play for the Bulldogs in the VFL. However, unfortunately due to COVID, in 2020 no games were played in the VFL competition. With COVID still in the mix, 2021 saw Jesse’s played a short season of 10 games with the undefeated Bulldogs, averaging 10 disposals and 14 hitouts.

In 2022 Jesse returned to Carlton as its VFL team’s Captain, playing 18 games including finals. Jesse decided to make the move back to Swans for the 2023 season.

“I’m very excited to be back home at Swans. There are a few familiar faces around and a lot of new ones, so I can’t wait to meet everyone and get stuck into it. I’ve been back and forth to Melbourne but I’m here to stay this time,” Glass-McCasker said.

“Can’t wait to help build a strong winning culture at the club. I had a meeting with Andrew (Pruyn) and the leadership group and we are all on the same page and confident heading into next season.

“I’m excited to play under Pruey next season. I had a good chat with him when I first moved back, and he knows what needs to be done in order to have a good season and build a winning culture. He has put a lot of trust in the leadership group to drive parts of the program and I think the playing group would agree when I say that we are keen to get stuck into a solid preseason and launch into next year.”

Club Senior WAFL Coach Andrew Pruyn is delighted to have a player of Jesse’ calibre join the team for 2023.

“It’s fantastic to have Jesse return to the club. It really is rewarding to have our home-grown boy’s return. Coming off an impressive season in the VFL, we are really looking forward in seeing Jesse in the black and white again. Players of Jesse’s size and experience are incredibly valuable. His leadership and professionalism are going to be vital for our playing group.”
