Quick Fire Q&A with Elijah Hewett

Swan Districts midfielder Elijah Hewett is hoping to make the transition from a WAFL League to join an AFL list at next week’s NAB AFL Draft. 

After a hugely successful 2021 when he won a Premiership with the Black and Whites Colts side, Hewett became a regular in the side’s League team this year. 

Hewett enjoyed a mixed NAB AFL Under 18 National Championships, with his best performance of 29 disposals and two goals in the opening game. 

Hewett capped off his year by finishing in the top five in agility testing at the NAB AFL National Combine. 

We caught up with Elijah to discuss his AFL ambitions, his journey through junior football, and the hidden talent he’s proud of.
