WAFL Men’s Season Launch and Jumper Presentation

The 2025 WAFL Men Season Launch will be held at Steel Blue Oval (President’s Suite) on Thursday 20th March and all are welcome to attend.
Members, supporters, families, partners and friends are all encouraged to join us on the night as we celebrate the start of the football season, hear from the Coach and Captains, as well as announce and present the Men’s Seniors, Reserves and Colts with their jumpers.
The night also features the highly anticipated annual WAFL Player Auction, as well as the Members Draw, Chase the Ace and the raffle prize wheel.
Player Auction Rules
This year there will be one Best on Ground selected in each of the Colts, Reserves and League teams every game. The best-case scenario would be if you have all three Best On Ground players in your group.
Prize Money
The formula for calculating the prize money is as follows – 60% of money raised at the auction will be paid back to purchasers as a cash dividend. 35% of the money will be allocated to the League prize pool, 15% to the Reserves pool and 10% to the Colts pool. The remaining 40% will go to the club to support its annual fundraising target.
Points to Remember
- The Player group you purchase is yours for the 2025 Swan Districts home and away games.
- In the instance of a player/s who are not allocated to a group but join the club during the season, the dividend amount will be allocated pro-rata amongst all player groups should the player be deemed Best on Ground.
- All dividends will be distributed at the end of the season.
- The weekly Best on Ground in the League, Reserves and Colts will be the player selected by the Head Coach for their respective team. The leaderboard will be published on club’s website.
- Payment by the successful bidder is required on the night of the auction
Food and drinks will be available to purchase on the night. No ticket required.
