Round 2 Captains Match Review

Swan Districts WAFL Men’s League captain Jesse Turner reflects on Round 2.

“East Perth were a but too good for us in the end last game. Although we are missing quite a few key players, we still felt confident heading into the game but our decision making and skill execution at times let us down.

“We had a nice run in the third quarter and played some of the footy we know we are capable of, but East Perth were too strong in the fourth and kicked away from us.

“It was a good learning experience for some our younger boys as we had 3 make their debut in Ethyn Kane, Ned Reiger and Luke Cotellessa. Brodyn Fitzgerald was just playing in his second game of WAFL footy too.

With a rough start for Swan Districts, captain Jesse Turner looks to the future.

“Although it’s been an 0-2 start, we know things can turn quickly and we look forward to South Freo who will be a great challenge for our group.

Swan Districts face off against South Fremantle, Saturday 19th, at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. Bouncedown at 2:30pm.
