Maurice Embley Medal 2025
Last Friday evening was a memorable night for players, family and friends, as Swans celebrated the Maurice Embley Medal to round out the All Abilities 2025 season.
The Maurice Embley Medal is awarded to the “Most Value Player” of the season, a recognition of great leadership, strong communication (both on and off the field) and a sense of inclusivity to all the team.
2025 sees Swans 4th winner to the list of he Maurice Embley Medal recipients, an accolade that is an honour to achieve. The medallist for the evening followed in the footsteps of Will Brenssell, who won the medal in the first inaugural season in 2022.
Head coach Leigh Farrow officially announced the end of his coaching with the All Abilities team at the end of this season. Swans are saddened with this news as he led the team with a great attitude and was open to everything. We are very lucky to have him, as he leaves with a big legacy we wish him all the very best in the future.
Leigh gave out the Coaches Awards to the All-Abilities team and here is how they went:
Encouragement award: Ali Sourour
Coaches Team Player Award: Mark Mcnair
During the night, 3 separate awards were given out. “Most Improved player” “Most Consistent player” and “Most Dramatic Award”
The player who received the “Most Improved player” was Lewis Collins.
Affectionally known as “the hulk” around the club. Lewis is always striving to improve; He has always been a source of leadership amongst the team and has been a strong defender from day one.
The Player who received the “Most Consistent Player” was Joseph Maxted.
Joseph is one of our most reliable players and he has continued to show this throughout the season. In 2025 Joseph continued to step up each game, with everybody seeing him as a player that gave his best effort.
The player who received the “Most Dramatic award” was Jack Cudlipp
The most dramatic is awarded to the player with the most spirit on the field during gamedays. This year the most dramatic award goes to our second-place winner, Jack Cudlipp.
After all the votes have been counted at the end of the night, the winner of the Maurice Embley Medal had been confirmed.
Your 2025 Maurice Embley Medal runner-up is William Brenssell. Coming in with 77 votes.
Your 2025 Maurice Embley Medal Winner is Dylan Farrow winning his 3rd Maurice Embley Medal.
A very huge congratulations to everyone who won on the night and a big thank you for coming along to all the players and families.
